When you see a large skull in the sky made of clouds with glowing red eyes, a glowing nose socket, and three glowing lines on the forehead area, it means the fort beneath that symbol is now a Fort of Fortune. When you defeat them, you'll receive an Ashen Winds Skull (basically a flamethrower, but it can also be sold) and a Devil's Roar treasure item.įorts of Fortune are the newest world event added to Sea of Thieves. It's exactly what it sounds like - essentially, the Ashen Lord's mouth will become a flamethrower. The main attack to watch out for is the fire breath.There are multiple different Ashen Lords in Sea of Thieves - Captain Grimm is one, for example - and while each looks differently, they are mostly the same in battle. It turns out that it's not actually a tornado at all, but rather, the formation of summoning winds made by Ashen Skeleton on the island - they're summoning the Ashen Lord that you're about to fight. ![]() Sail toward that red tornado and you'll find that it's swirling above an island. When you see a large, swirling red tornado, it means an Ashen Lord will soon arrive to the Sea of Thieves.
